I believe this to my core. I’m a Christian but I have doubt in the Old Testament and New Testament connections. I believe this is why. Most religious people won’t even discuss this as a possibility. That screams insecurity to me.

First I want to point out that jesus never defies his father. He said over and over that he did not come to say anything to me of his own, but he only says what the father tells him to say. God Creating law to be kept doesn't mean that god himself also cannot decide to pardon the guilty. The law points out that we are guilty in God. In his mercy pardons.

There actually isn't anywhere in the new testament where jesus says that unclean, things are now clean. The issue in context regarding foods was jesus calling out the pharisees for trying to say that you had to wash your hands in a very special way that they came up with or else the kosher food that you were eating was actually unclean like a pig. Jesus was as usual, pointing them back to the commandments of god and pointing out that the rules they made up are meaningless and not true. It's not what goes in, but what comes out that defiles, a man Is what he said, and then he went on to say that to eat with unwashed.Hands does not defile a man. Jesus would not ever say that although the father said it's unclean to you to eat pig, i'm saying it isn't. He simply never did that. Although christianity to this day maintains that teachi.

Antonomianism. Anti lal teachings have been an incredibly integrated part of christianity to this day. I think it's condemnable frankly. It's not the faith wants to live to the saints. I believe one should keep all of what god has said in his law to the best of his ability and we do so through faith now in jesus. We don't follow jesus in spite of the law but we rather follow jesus and we keep the commandments of god. This is the faith that always was and always will be.
