McDavid did everything he could, and after that heartbreaking loss he still went out there for the post-game interviews. He's a remarkable player. Someday he will hopefully look back and appreciate this, and someday have his name etched on the Cup (though hopefully not when playing against my team).

Am I the only one that thinks it is disrespect to interview McDavid after the game and ask him about the loss? It is my least favorite thing in hockey. Just let the sorrow sit for a bit, you know they are coming back stronger because of it no matter what team you cheer for.

McDavid gained a huge amount of respect from me by getting that team back to even with the Panthers. And then the pure disrespect of him snubbing this award sent him right back. Won’t deny is hockey ability, but the dude is a goof.
