This is a one card pass used as a color change. It's very quick, visual, and fun to do! By the way, I received a lot of good questions in the last video, so I'll be uploading a separate video soon to answer them. Stay tuned!

That was a great tutorial. I really love it.
But when I learned this change(I learned it as a "slip change"), I learned to do it with dribble. While dribbling the cards you can pull the top card down so that it places in the middle of the deck. Also the dribbling motion can make the sound and effect more natural. I think that is also a good way to change the cards if you are gonna end the trick. (Sorry for terrible English)

I've used this move to control the card to the bottom of the deck (when the cards are facing down) in my routine where i show their card on top flip it back over, (do the single pass) then slap the deck with my hand, then reveal that the card is on the bottom. It gives a really cool illusion that i pushed their card all the way through to the bottom.
And i would also like to ad that you can do the same move but flip it over as well, so instead of letting the card clear the side of the deck, keep rotating the card around the deck.
I also used this 'single flip pass' in my other routine where i would show their card on top flip it back over then i would do the 'single flip pass' then i would do a Herman pass with half the deck then say "Ok now lets put your card in the middle" then putting the top card into the middle, (actually putting a random card in the middle) then *snapping my fingers* then spreading through and their card is face down i the deck.

In the performance video you did a double lift and did a Cardini change, but here you taught something different (there is a difference in how the snapped card lands on the bottom of the deck).

That is a nice color change. I used it as a control to the bottom (face down deck, card on top) and sometimes as a turn over of the selection for a triumph effect, if you don't finish the pass the card ends in opposite direction.

Yet another magic trick I learned in 5 minutes of practice after learning how to do it. I appreciate it!!!

I've actually been doing this exact same thing fro years! It was one of the first things I did when I picked up a deck of cards for sleight of hand purposes. I'm not trying to Brad or claim I did it before anyone else (which I'm almost positive wouldn't be true) but it is interesting how much independent creation there is in magic! Also, I've been using this lately to get the top card of the deck into a gamblers cop, using a pinkie break can also lessen the noise.

Hey guys, I've found a variation in the trick, which is if you let the bottom few of the cards fall and then do, then the trick goes more smoothly...I'd like to thank Asad whose vids I've been following lately and brought a great change in my THANKS ASAD

aha I totally already had this as a move, calling it the step aside change, perform it with a dribble, that looks sick, like the card just melts

Awesome trick Asad.  I'm a new subscriber and just got into magic a couple months ago.  You and Jerek make some of the best card magic tutorials.  Thanks a lot.

First of all, thanks a lot.
Then, great video. I would like to know how to threw the card as you did at the end of the performance video, I must admit that it blew my mind.
Continue to do your work, it's awesome !

I have been using this top card pass for a while now, its an amazing utility. You can even do it from a pinky break in the middle for a covered card control to the bottom. Or if you flip the card as you do the pass, you can make the card turn around in the deck. I would suggest heavy misdirection for this though, or atleast talk as your doing it as it does make some noise.

Another great tutorial Asad I really appreciate it, I've been in sorta a magic drought most of the summer. But this color change will really spice up my other tricks at school

If you do this move, combined with a helmsley cut you can controle a card in second position on just one move ! Like you get a break on the card you wanna get second position, do this, but only with top packet which then completes the helmsley cut! Works pretty well !

nice video. i will say one thing though. I've been practicing this move for a while, i have a slight variation on the handling . My left pinky i actually place midway through the pack (like a regular classic pass). to prevent shifting the whole top packet and solely the top card you just need to apply downward pressure with your ring and middle finger. Its about as loud as your handling but you have better purchase of the deck.
