In the United States, a state is a political entity. There are currently 50 states. which are bound together in a political union. Each has a government and can make laws over a particular area that the state covers. Washington, D.C. (District of Columbia) is a federal district and not a state nor in a state. Additionally, The United States of America has 5 permanently-inhabited territories.

In this video, we have combined HD videos of all 50 U.S. state flags with the state names in English. Each clip of a flag in this video is 8 seconds long where the state flag is shown together with the state name. The name of every state in the US is written and spoken out. The pronunciation is in American English. This will make you learn the flags easier. We have also added the year when each state is established and listed the states in this order.
