I'm Jaime, and I'm here to help women with ADHD meal plan and cook healthier meals!

In today's video, I'm back with another Dollar Tree meal! With the prices going up, it's harder to find really cheap meals. But I found some new foods and I'm making a Sausage and Rice Skillet!

Want to send me a letter/write me a card? I'll write back!

Thank you so much for sharing because food prices are ridiculous!!

Check out the frozen section. There is a decent selection of frozen veggies like broccoli, green beans, mixed veggies, and such. That would cut the sodium.

I do appreciate channels like these. Because of inflation and crazy prices. Who hasn't found himself at the Dollar tree or any dollar anything. Try to make food stretch or wash their clothes. So thank you for the ideas and keep on coming.

I would rinse out the green beans first to get rid of some sodium. You can get flavor from the rice and sausage.

Don't ever quit your very good videos. I am 70yrs old, come from a large family of nine kids, i still do my own cooking and baking meals and i do like how you have shown me how to stretch the buck and you have such good ideas and what you can do while saving $$$ . I unfortunately picked up on my mom's way of shopping as she bought tons for groceries still as a widow just as if we were still a family of nine, stocking up on huge grocery purcheses every single month. I need these great ideas. Thank you so much. I have tried to keep salt down to no salt and I buy items with no soy. It's a little bit of extra work trying to get it just right. TWO THUMBS UP and a hug 🤗 thank you for your blessings to us who enjoy your videos and your time. God Bless you and your sweet family.

Hi, good to see you! My fave DT item is a box of Scotties 160 count tissues for $1.25. 💖✝

Try andouille sausage with packs of wild rice like the ones you used. Add some cream or milk to make it into a soup. Its really good. I dont even need any extra seasoning for it

I love your channel it really helps bc I do get food bank assistance right now and they give a lot of these types of dry goods and a lot of dollar store items so thanks so so much ❤

Thank you for sharing, Jaime! Yes, I am very conscious of a high sodium content. Sometimes Dollar Tree has frozen veggies. Hopefully, the one by you will have them.

For the people who say Dollar Tree is more expensive, they should live where I live. My other choice is a full price grocery store.

I remember all the meals you made with items from DT! And you always had a big variety of things!
But now you only get 4 items for $5.00! You can get a package of dried beans and make a huge pot of beans.
Packages of pasta will yield you more than one meal as well.
Sometimes I'll find box mixes that are something like Hamburger Helper. You just add a protein and all the other ingredients are in the box.
I haven't seen the ravioli in the freezer section almost since you were doing the meals.
But they still have the egg rolls in a variety of flavors!
They also have the bags of rice that will yield enough for several meals.
Something I found the other day was a little box of dried hash browns which came be rehydrated to cook them or they could be added to a dish of other ingredients for potatoes in the dish.
I usually steer away from the ramen type packages since they're so much cheaper at the big grocery stores.
I like to get the can of pork and beans and some times I'll make baked beans.
But most of the time I try to make a meal, it usually starts with the types of Hamburger Helper boxes.
They still have the biscuit mix and cornbread mix too.
Did you check out the freezer section? They still have $1.25 items and they have things for $3, 4 and $5! The higher priced items are mostly a meal or snacks.
My little store doesn't have as much variety as the bigger stores. But I have picked up several items before to combine for a meal.
Thanks for sharing another great video!🥰

With the price of food going up and up, Dollar Tree prices are still pretty low. We’re lucky they were $1 as long as they were.

I'm not allowed lots of sodium so I will have to add frozen veggies to mine or maybe beans like white beans

Hi Jaime, I would love it if you could include what ingredients are in a packaged, boxed, canned foods include SPECIFICALLY SODIUM CONTENT, CHOLESTEROL, FAT CONTENT, AND SUGAR AND IF THERE IS SOY IN A PRODUCT YOU SHARE. I AM HOPING SOMEONE OUT THERE COULD INCLUDE AND ALSO LET US KNOWVIFVTHERE HAPPENS TO BE SOY PRODUCTS AS SOY IS NOT A HEART FRIENDLY FOOD AND IS HIGHLY USED IN JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING WE USE THESE DAYS AND CAN BE CONSIDERED A BIG PROBLEM OF ALLERGIES.

Would it be terrible if I used hot dogs? I’m going to try it out bc I have very similar ingredients but not the sausage, I got hot dogs this time.
