Honestly, this is one of the most detailed and specific videos that tests the new Ryzen cpus against other cpus. I must say, the content is amazing and very in depth. Great job man 👍

Not bad. Not bad at all. If AMD keep this up then my next CPU, that I intend to buy in 2019, will be an AMD R7 3700X. Until then, my delided i7 4790k will have to do the job.

All games benchmark average on GTX 1080 Ti
i7-8700k (stock) = 10 fps more
R7-2700x (stock) = 10 fps less

Think about this for a second, what if you have GTX 1080, 1070 or below, the R7-2700x is completely a beast gaming CPU. There won't be bottleneck at all, so why are you saying R7-2700x is not as good as 8700k for gaming? That's a mislead.

Also, while the R7-2700x has more cores/threads and annihilated the i7-8700k in productivity benchmarks..
There is no question here that the R7 is a damn good CPU!

Cant believe how quickly the year or so since Ryzen 1 has gone...

very nice video, there is only one caveat I think you should have included in your video regarding warp stabilizer. to say the 8700k out performs ryzen in this task is a bit misleading. it is true that with one instance of warp stabilizer, the 8700k will outperform ryzen, however warp stabilizer is a effect that processes in the background allowing you to continue working while processing, or activating multiple instances of warp stabilizer. the 8700 k may have a marginally faster analysation time, but ryzen will be able to analyse twice as many clips at the same time making ryzen effectively faster in practical application.

I had set my mind on Ryzen 7 2700x build. After watching a ton of reviews I'm starting to lean towards the I7-8700k, since the PC will be mainly for gaming purpose. I'd really love to give the new Ryzen a try though.

I love that you include The Witcher 3 in the benchmarks. It's a demanding game that likes fast memory and CPUs.

You're awesome mate. You're going to hit 100k subscribers soon and then skyrocket into the universe. Keep up the good work! Unbiased in-depth reviews, best cinematography of the whole youtube tech community and a great deep narrator voice.
Perfect mix, you're gonna get far, you'll see.

I am the owner of the 1800x processor, after two months of use I am amazed how good it is
I never dreamed to have such a processor, because an equivalent processor from intel now a year cost about $ 2, 000.
I live in the poor country more precisely in Romania where my salary is $ 350, luck for us that there is AMD
   all my gratitude

Wow, fantastic video! I just found your channel on accident, but I was so impressed with the review I subscribed! One question though: did you actually run all those tests yourself, or are you compiling data from other sources to make these charts? (Not judging if you did, I was just genuinely confused about how one man could have so many CPUs lying around.) I have never, ever seen anyone pair a 2200G with a 1080 Ti for CPU performance testing. Great stuff!

Get a X470 itx board (give the Asus one a try) and test it on the NCase M1 for the D9L and other options. Your results will determine my upgrade :)
Great video!

It's looking like, even while I'm mainly gaming a lot, I want to get the Ryzen. I have been recommended this in order to stream, and edit videos better.

I have 16gb ram, I was lucky enough to buy it when ram was cheap, it kind of surprises me that reviewers are still using the same amount of ram that I installed years ago for just a run of the mill system.
