Dude this idea is actually great. You get a GF, tour guide and a teacher while exploring.
Almost a genius idea for any tourist!

*2 minutes in*
him: "your english is good"
her: *gains confidence to speak english* "YAKU!" (trying to say youre cool)
him: "yaku? what does that mean? beautiful?"
her: *trying to not to be panic* *nods* "kakkoi" (settles with the japanese word for cool instead)
him: *has no idea what it means* "she is going to teach me some japanese"

This is GENIUS, I dont really care about the actual Girlfriend aspect of it, but to have someone with you that can translate would be worth it 1000%, and as others have mentioned teach you Japanese along the way and answer questions that most all of us would have.

When she said she has been dating for money for three years, I did not see that going anywhere.

That looked really fun! She seemed very sweet. I hope your second date went well too. Japan is such a cool place! I've been to Tokyo and Kyoto myself, both very different. Rode the bullet train between them. Neat experiences! Cheers to your travels!

I'm so jealous. I'm a Japanese man living in Nagoya, but I'm a very shy person, so I don't have the courage to take the first step. Cheers to your courage.🎉

Here's a better translation (which probably means, can laugh easily) DeepL translation: I have a shallow pressure point and always have a smile on my face and most of my conversations are filled with laughter 😂.
I'm often told that I'm natural and outgoing, but because I have a younger sister, I take good care of her and she tells me I have a big sister-like side to me

Your video is cool because I met my wife 29 years ago while working outside of the US. We had to date by jet, luckily she worked for Mexicana and I worked for Holiday Inn Corporate, so I could see her on free flights or she could see me. Anyway, our daughter is now 23, a Mexican American working on her Masters in International Studies and History and my wife became an assistant superintendent of our state school system in Arizona, and also helped open the Arizona Science center translating their English texts into Spanish for visitors from Mexico.

Tourism was my life until I retired early in 2015, which is why I celebrate videos like yours, because they transfer culture to a level easy to understand.
