Best Fiber Connection Manila: PLDT Home FIBR vs Globe at Home Fiber Broadband 100 Mbps Speedtest. The best fiber connection for us in Makati after trying the 2 leading broadband Fiber providers PLDT and GLOBE is.... PLDT - due to a more consistent connection and stronger wifi router. Currently was on Globe but will switch back to PLDT. The main benefits from our Globe connection when we first applied was complimentary 6 month subscriptions to Amazon Prime, Fox Plus and Disney Life. I've been a loyal client of pldt isp since 2002 until now but recently globe has a good offer for 200mbps/3499 monthly compared to pldt 150mbps/4099 monthly with cignal tv. Im using 100mbps 2899 pldt plan right now and im planning to upgrade. I'm torn between the two which one to choose. Any advise?

We were at PLDT old plan which is not Fibr and when we avail for the Fibr upgrade, PLDT tells us that there is still no facility here yet in our area that can accommodate the upgrade. I was thinking if we can use Globe Fibr plan for just 6 months. Is it right? Or is it just not worthy?

Do they use real Fiber connection? Sky Fiber uses cable modems which is basically a hybrid of copper and fiber. They are marketing Fiber but it's not really.

Just a question on your video, were you on the 5g signal or 2.4ghz signal when you did the speedtest to see actual speed? I saw your result as 88.91mbps which of course didn't hit 100mbps as what you paid for..hows the service level on the speed?

I have Globe Fiber, but never used the wifi from the ONT. I always had a Taiwan made router to push the signal in this two story brick/mortar house.

But I am wondering if your test was done on a LAN (hardwired) or Wi-fi? I think maybe your speed will be faster on the LAN connection. I have the 25mbps plan and it usually runs faster than promised at 37 down and 8 up.

Why did you change to Globe sir? Did you experience any customer service or Internet problems with PLDT?

I think all internet service providers sucks but I choose PLDT too. All of them have their own problems in terms of speed, consistency etc but PLDT gives me the least problems.
