The entire West Virginia Supreme Court faces impeachment after lawmakers voted on charges of abusing tax dollars for personal purposes.

When I worked for the state it was common for people to use state property at home, I was one of the people who would transport and set it up for them at home. And if that property came up on a property audit they would attest it was still in there possession. However at the end of their employment they were required to return the items at there own expense. I have never heard of some one refusing, nothing is worth that!

Regarding the desk and why they would impeach rather than bring criminal charges. I would assume that the Houses want to ensure that they do everything in the precise order that is required so as to not leave the door open for appeals around the process that should have been followed. Essentially they are going to want to be very specific and operate exactly as the Constitution and Law requires.
