This model was developed in mid-late 90s but its mass production started only in 2005. The only 2000' exterior part in this "sport" version are its bumpers. You can compare it to the original at 2:19 (black one in the background).

Like the high mount steering rack, if that's what I saw correctly. If it is made to last, and rust isn't allowed to form in the unibody cavities, it will sell well. When Lada starts making carbon fiber chassis, or better, they'll have no competition. The problem of getting sandwiched between two big Kamaz trucks remains.

navigation system is cool! does it use glonass satelite system? Who makes the maps for navigation in Russia? Is the road coverage complete and detailed?

The Lada Kalina isn't so "good" like the Granta, but for the price it's ok. It looks a bit like a Opel/Vauxhall Corsa, the design is for a car of this class all right.
