This video shows the basics of converting a standard 9 and 10 speed freehub body to a 11 and 12 speed compatible XD driver.

Sram's XD drivers provide a better range than standard cassettes, and offer a better shift thanks to their advanced manufacturing technology.

Having trouble finding out what kind of hub my 2020 giant talon 3 has . The specs say QR free ball. So makes it hard to figure out what XD drive to get .

So would I be right in saying that if I got a wheel with DT Swiss hubs, that these hubs will be able to accept a SRAM XD Driver or the OneUp MiniDriver? If I'm wanting to keep my 11-speed setup but convert from 11-tooth cog to 10 or 9-tooth cog, I should be looking for a wheel with DT Swiss hubs? Is that correct?

I have an endurance disc road bike and am converting it to mtb gearing. I have all angles sorted except for the hub issue. I currently have 700c wheels but am planning to convert to either 650b or 26 inch wheels. So if I do that conversion, I must make sure I get hubs that will allow me to use a 9 or 10-tooth cog.

Actually I just thought, instead of getting wheels with DT Swiss hubs and converting to a Driver hub myself, maybe I could just get a wheel that already has the XD Driver installed. Is that a good idea?

I am looking for a hub (cheaper than dt swiss), that I can use temporarily with shimano 10 cassette (ordered parts arrived but my hubs are not compatible with the cassette)... later, I will be upgrading to 1x12s and the cassette I am planning to get needs XD. Any hub recommendation (cheaper than dt swiss) that I can use how for 10s and I can replace or change to XD driver without completely replacing the hubs? Thanks :) --> Sorry I am really noob with biking

I have some questions and it would be much appreciated if someone would answer. I have an old giant aluxx 6000 series mountain bike. It has an 8 speed cassette and three chainrings in the front. What type of freehub do I have? Will I be able to convert it to an XD freehub? Will I need new wheels or something like that? Please answer.
