Each of us has a song to sing, a voice that seeks to be expressed. Finding that voice and allowing it to sing through us fulfills our life's intention. Finding that voice is not always easy. It means listening deeply to life and touching the heart of our essence. Parker Palmer expresses it this way in Let Your Life Speak: "Before I can tell my life what I want to do with it, I must listen to my life telling me who I am. I must listen for the truths and values of the heart of my own identity, not the standards by which I must live - but the standards by which I cannot help but life if I am living my own life." This week we begin a series on Parker Palmer’s book.
