BMW E36 Offset FCAB Modification

Before installing the front suspension on my E36 I needed to install my Revshift 95A durometer offset bushings into the lollipop brackets. Unlike a traditional rubber bushing with a metal sleeve, polyurethane bushings don't have the same type of interference fitment, so an offset bushing will have a tendency to move causing unwanted changes in caster angle.

To prevent this from occurring all you need to do is install a set screw by modifying the bracket and threading it to accept a set screw size of your choice. In my case, I installed an M6x20 hex cap screw and drilled a hole into the bracket to accept an M6x1 tap. After threading the bracket all that is required is to install the bushing (with the correct orientation) drill a small pilot hole into the bushing and then thread the set screw in until it bottoms out.

This will prevent the bushing from moving in the bracket and ensure that your alignment settings stay where they need to be.
