If you're too embarrassed to ask your OB/GYN questions about your health concerns, you're not alone! In Part 2 of my "Too Embarrassed to Ask Your OB/GYN?" series, I'm answering more important women's health questions that often just aren't talked about, such as:

Why does my vagina have an odor or discharge?
Can I prevent vaginal odor or discharge?
Why are my periods so painful?
And more!

QUESTION: Do you feel comfortable talking to your OB/GYN about all your health concerns?

I was always embarrassed to ask questions at the gynaecologist because the only ones I ever saw were arrogant men who questioned what I told them, “are your periods REALLY that painful?” “periods can be painful and I’m sorry but you have to live with it” “sex is painful because you are thinking about it to much, you need to use “it”more”
Until I had had enough and asked to be referred to a female gyno and the difference was immediate! She actually listens to me, she discovered I have Endometriosis which the other doctors would of found if they had actually bothered to look, and I feel really comfortable with her, I know it’s not the fact that she is female that’s the difference because I had a friend who saw a woman who was horrendous and then she saw a man that was fantastic,
