For some projects, nails and screws alone just aren't enough. For those situations, the right solution is the addition of a heavy duty construction adhesive. Unlike wood glue, a high-quality heavy duty construction adhesive like LIQUID NAILS Brand Heavy Duty Construction Adhesive will stick to almost anything, including lumber, concrete, drywall, and brick veneer. Besides adding holding power, construction adhesive can also fill gaps between surfaces. Choose one that remains flexible so it won't crack and fall away when the materials move.

I am pulling apart a deck I did 15 years ago and I live on the beach where we have been through 3 hurricanes and we get lots of rain. Instead of joist tape I put a 3/4 thick bead of heavy duty liquid nails on the tops of the deck joists and then put the deck boards on and mashed them gently and screwed them and gapped them gently but firmly as to not make a mess with the liquid nails and prevent drainage and airflow. I have been cutting and pounding and prying on this deck for 3 hours trying to get it to come apart. I managed to cut the joists every 18 inches or so and I am having to just rip it down to the ground because it isn't even serviceable because the deck boards are glued on so tight. I could just paint the deck boards and make it look great but I want the deck gone and a garden now. For future reference if you want to make your deck indestructible just buy 50$ worth of liquid nails heavy duty in the bigger tubes and when you finish all the framing load the joists up with a bead of liquid nails about 3/4 or a little less inches thick and install the board on top. It prevented any liquid from getting onto the tops of the joist and prevented rot which the other decks right neck to it are all falling apart from and I have been replacing them as I go now. 300 square feet are off now and I am redoing it as we speak and I did 1200 square feet last month. They were just awful and soft at the tops of the joists. The ones I put the bread off paid nails on are dry and perfectly new.

Few t I finally found this video! I used to love this stuff about 20 years ago it was amazing. Now the dry time says one week.. Read the fine print guys. liquid nails new stuff is crap I don't know when they changed it. I'm so upset I used this shit on a huge project that is going to set me back a lot because this crap just won't dry.. I used to be able to rely on their products.
And yes. It's 7 days dry time and I'll see in 5 more days if it holds. If not liquid nails tech support is gonna see a shit show.
You used to be able to make a was of this stuff and leave it to dry and you couldn't even smash it with a hammer.. Not its like puddy that just mushes around.
