In this video tutorial, we will learn how to view and export data Excel charts in a quick and efficient way. We will specifically focus on creating a stacked column chart and extracting specific data points from it.
First, we will create a stacked column chart by selecting the "Subcategory" for the x-axis and "Sales" for the values. We will also include the "Region" as the legend.
Next, we want to find the value of 71,000 for the West region and the "Storage" subcategory. Instead of manually filtering the data in Excel, there is a much faster method. Simply right-click on the desired bar and select "Show data point as table." This will give you the filtered data for that specific data point.
If you want to export this data quickly, you can click on the three dots at the top and choose "Export data." This will save the filtered data as a CSV file, which can be easily shared with others.
It's important to note that the ability to view and export data can be controlled through the file options and settings. You can choose whether to allow end-users to export summarized data or restrict their access.
Overall, this method provides a fast and convenient way to view and export data directly from Excel charts, saving you time and effort.
