165: Dan's Dinosaurs Ankylosaurus Revisit

Here’s the last model from the Dan’s Dinosaurs line I have, and even after all this years I’m absolutely delighted to examine this.

If you like a high degree of accuracy in your dinosaurs and you are a fan of ankylosaurs, specifically Ankylosaurus, this model will reward close scrutiny. Almost all the established caputegulae are here, and even though the actual armour will always be speculative, it takes ideas from Carpenter 2004 and Arbour 2017 to come up with a reasonable intermediate.

The rendition of the bony parts, like the scutes and the tail club, are absolutely realistic and have to be seen to be believed, preferable touched too! And while an amazing sculpt, imagine compounding that with the realistic paint application by Martin Garratt! Even the base is a little special, and gives the picture of a day-in-the-life scene by a peaceful herbivore minding its own business.

Unlike many models in the Dan’s Dinosaurs line, this one is still available!

First of all I must say that I can't wait for the next video. I'm so excited <3 And then even though most of us don't have these amazing figures, I'm sure most of us enjoy these revisit videos. And now it's been two years since you've done the first video, I'm sure now you have more knowledge about the dinosaur as well. And just like you, it gives me great pleasure to recollect and revisit my collection once in a while. The smell and the touch of these figures take me to another world. Beautiful Model. Don’t think it’s worth the £220 tho lol. Still, absolutely amazing figure.
