Turkish Settlement Policy in Efrin

After more than three years of Turkish occupation of the Kurdish Efrin region, there have been widespread human rights violations in Efrin, including looting, ransom, kidnappings, and killings by Turkey and its affiliated Islamist groups. Moreover, a Turkish settlement policy has been carried out with the intention of displacing Kurds and changing the demography of the region through an Arab and Turkmen presence. Since 2018, many projects have been launched to build new settlements with the help of so-called humanitarian Turkish, Qatari, and Kuwaiti organizations related Muslim Brotherhood.
