"Kusaregedo" roughly means "Disgusting bastard." He was a "nice" guy in life with the sole exception that he was a cannibal, and that's why he transformed into a cannibalistic oni in death, who particularly enjoys the meat of young girls. In his ending in Samsho 5, he meets with his daughter, who says she still loves him and he has a moment of reflection before he winds up killing and eating her. Guy's seriously a messed up character.

In Samsho 6, his ending's a bit...funnier? in that he winds up eating the whole damn cast. lol

I always loved how Zappa relationship with the ghosts story wise is actually kinda wholesome: aside the ring girl that is extremelly jealous and unstable, the other ghosts wish to protect him from her and everyone else, and its implied in more recent games that they are still arround him just chilling and hes actually ok with that

I was 100% sure the last entry was going to be Kirby, and I applaud your restraint.

As a Guilty Gear player, I miss Zappa.

D’Vorah from the new Mortal Kombat games somehow manages to be the creepiest fighter in a roster full of demons, necromancers, shadow monsters, and cyborgs. Her fatalities in MK11, in particular, are John Carpenter levels of body horror

Relius' astral finish against makoto is hilarious though. He makes her run in a big hamster wheel

I met a man from Tanzania who said of Street Fighter's Q: "he looks like the sort of person who eats flies". I hope that's a common expression over there, it deserves to be used to describe more people.

What about Double from Skullgirls? The demented nun/demon who opens the fight by *turning inside out into a writhing mass of flesh and organs*

Hisako is such a kick ass character. They can make a video game simply on her character, that's how much of a cool character I think she is.

I really appreciate that you cover fighting games, I feel like they’re sidestepped by a lot of other gaming channels like they’re irrelevant

I still think that Kusaregedo deserves the number 1 on this list. He's absolutely terrifying.

Creepiest zombies and now creepiest fighters? I was going to say "Is Andy okay?" but I've been watching oxbox for a while, I know this is Andy living his best life.

True Ogre's creepiness is greatly diminished by the fact that he's an absolutely bottom-tier fighter.

Can’t forget Jack from the power stone games, a heavily bandaged, knife wielding serial killer who only communicates in twisted laughter.

Classic Voldo. I always enjoyed how vicious he could be from any height/even (especially) if he was turned backwards, plus how deceptively far his reach was, considering how short his katars were compared to the weapons of the other fighters.

I'm surprised that Painwheel from Skullgirls, she was the friend of the protag who got kidnapped and turned into a rage monster.

One of the creepiest parts of Kusaregedo is how only one of his arm bones is sharpened and out in the open, but which switches depending on where he's facing.

So we got from a Ring ghost who contorts a lot to a dude who gets contorted by a ring ghost, to a dude who contorts a lot and breathes creepily, to a creepily breathing potentially dead guy, to a definitely dead guy turned into a monster, to a monster turned into a bigger monster...to an evil scientist. Almost had the theme segues down to the end.

Not only is Kusaregedo terrifying to look at. He's also terrifying to play against. As he is the samsho equivalent of mvc2 Sentinel. Possessing huge range, damage and a lot of health. Also possessing a very damaging command throw that does around 40% so if you do get close you have to be extremely careful.

Voldo always reminded me of a Cenobite from Hellraiser. Also, now that I think about it, I'm guessing Hisako was an onna bugeisha, essentially a woman samurai. They were known for using a naginata (the "big knife on a stick" as Andy put it), as well as the bow and arrow.

Jedah from Darkstalkers deserve a position, his attacks are insane, using his own blood or cutting his own head out!
