I definitely want to pickup the Frank Wright! Nice t-shirt Ken, I live right down the street from Oceanview Diner formerly known as Bette’s Oceanview. She passed away a couple of years ago and her husband retired. The employees organized a co-op an bought the diner.

Been waiting to hear the reviews for the Alice Coltrane and Roy Brooks. Hoping you do a review!

Thanks for your honesty and immense knowledge! I wish you could be more involved in some of those forums on YouTube. You would probably get too frustrated with those that categorize every record as “fantastic” just for the sake of sales. You may have already commented but what do you think of the Humminguru; if I didn’t have the money for some of the more expensive ultrasonic cleaners? Thanks again!

Roy Brooks. Hell yes. That record has been a pain in the ass to land.

My biggest issue with the record store day titles is they don’t drop any soundbites.

Kenny, thanks for the AC mention. Never heard that one, but thanks to Tidal, I got to really enjoy it. Turiya and Blue Nile are standouts. I'll keep those in rotation for awhile. Keep up the good work, my friend.

Ken, so good to see you back on here. Very happy to see the new releases and especially the new Alice Coltrane, I can’t wait to get that one. Your reviews are really good and professional, I wish you would review some of the new reissues for rock albums. ✌️

Getting Ptah, the El Daoud on 24bit CD. Personally, I love vinyl/CD/high-res streaming, and whatever sounds great to my ears. Thanks, Ken! Still love your NYC attitude, even though I am not a vinyl purist.

Nice to see you back, Ken. I'm looking forward to picking up that Coltrane title for sure, along with a couple others. The TW title is a surprise. I have a Swiss original, and have described it similarly as New Wave-Jazz. Even when he didn't quite succeed, he always had interesting and fun takes on the zeitgeist of the time. Who is reissuing that one? Cheers.

Never mind the negative nitwits
Always appreciate your reviews and comparisons. Original pressings are not a financial option for many of us. I enjoy the reissues nonetheless and it’s interesting to hear your opinion on the differences.

Great introduction to what is out and will be available. Man my pockets are getting lighter. It’s ok because the music is such a great part of my life since I was young. Just curious if you use some of these reissues in your review of equipment?

Total left turn but love the Bette's Diner t-shirt. I live right up the street from Bette's and it went out due to the pandemic but has made a come back.

Nice to see you in a West Coast Bette’s Diner T shirt.

Got my copy of Ptah the El Daud today. It’s good. B+. Decent gatefold (not high quality but good). Paper sleeve. Bad. The record was filthy. The record itself has physical flaws. Sound? Good. B+. Value? Not good. This should be priced in the teens.

I wish I knew someone who could use my Acoustic Sounds boxes, they're so nice I hate recycling them.
