During the college football game between Maryland and Virginia Tech, an awkward moment happened in the second quarter while the announcers were interviewing future Virginia Tech head coach Brent Pry. As he was being interviewed and talking about how Virginia Tech was going to have a great defense, Maryland QB Taulia Tagovailoa threw a 70 yard bomb for a Maryland touchdown. The score gave Maryland a 14-3 lead in the 2021 Pinstripe Bowl.

As a Virginia Tech fan I didn't find it awkward. I was happy that Coach Pry got to see how bad of a program Justin Fuente left him. It shows Tech fans just where we are and gives Pry more time in the eyes of the fans.

The program nosedived into the ground under Fuente. Pry has a lot of work to do and I really hope that people don't expect too much from him next season because you can't just correct the kind of damage that Fuente did in a single offseason. Also, Pry is a defensive minded coach and we have always loved our defense here in Blacksburg so I'm super excited to see how things go.
