I think that was amazing advice. When we are concentrating on the Lord and being actively engaged in being a blessing to someone else, it takes the focus off ourselves. God’s plans are the best plans and he promises us that he is always with us, that he would never leave us nor forsake us. In abiding in him, shackles fall.

Loneliness is horrible experience but if you got god in your life you never be alone. Do things that makes you busy and happy better be alone than in wrong company or fake people everywhere

You can be lonely even if you are with someone. That is not the answer to loneliness. Enjoy the time spent doing what I like, and knowing God is always there to talk to. Better than having to deal with difficult people.

I can totally relate to this lady's story. Divorced at 50 after 25 years of marriage to an unbeliever, I spent the following 10 years seeking, hoping, doing my best to find a partner, and because I live in the country, with a tiny local church, I went online. Perhaps it works for some people but it certainly didn't for me, and I don't recommend it. I'm much happier now I ve given up that hope of meeting someone. It's best to be alone than being abused, and it's best to reconcile oneself to one's circumstances rather than hope for "better". Joyce's advice is good, too. Nothing is impossible for God. Besides I'm not sure remarriage after divorce is necessarily God's best will for us.

This is really hard to ask for, and there's so much I can't even type it. Would anyone have any good comforting words of encouragement? I'm heartbroken and the pain won't go away. I feel alone in the world. I definitely don't want to "meet anyone." There is someone I love, someone I know was meant for me. I cry myself to sleep. It won't stop hurting, and just taking it from day to day is all I can do. I feel like God has forgotten me.

Does God forget his people like that? I watched this video and I think it's great advice, but I am still hurting and words of encouragement would mean so much. Thank you if you can help me.

I went to AA for years and part of recovery is helping others you get out of yourself and helping someone makes you feel really good I found out my partner was cheating and was talking to my sponsor about it and she told me to get out of myself and help somebody.
