88 - Orcs & Goblins vs Dwarfs - BITS Game 2

Wow!  Bloody game.  As far as I can tell you guys resolved all those rules questions properly. :)   Deathstars need to be real careful (especially Ogres) about breaking after they lose all their rank and file.  That snake eyes rule is a B@#$$!   Your opponent's luck was phenomenal!

Enjoyed this one - i'm rocking a similar dwarf list at the moment! Once more, a couple of things I noticed:
1) afraid you don't get MR on miscasts (exception being the BotWD)
2) You probably should've put all the spiders attacks on the hammerers. between them and the thunderstomp you could've killed the unit, leavin you free to combat res the lord?

They have short legs, they don't run fast but they are beefy!! Here come the Dwarfs!!

Yay Luke's back! And I love the mobile dwarves getting up in your grill, though sad about your loss. I forget if the rule was clarified in the batrep, but that fleeing unit that moved through your giant spider, it shouldn't be destroyed, but did it take difficult terrain tests? They are supposed to if they bounce through an enemy unit, or impassible terrain. Looking forward to your future batreps! I think they are the most enjoyable of any I follow. That's for a variety of reasons, but not the least of which is your immense enthusiasm for the game.

Charges go in order, they are resolved in order to prevent situations like, i'm charging from the front and the rear and now your auto slain.

When the unit is destroyed around the characters and only the characters are left alive, they form a new unit and no longer need snake eyes to rally.  If it had just been the characters and 1 dwarf warrior, they would have needed snake eyes.

if all the squigs are dead, how do you get to blow up. do the goblins let out an explosive fart of fear that poisons their opponents/

Great to see you back. Thanks for the report, your matches always look fun and are awesome to watch. Just a bit of a theory question, if he had used his vanguard move to shift his units more to the side and then to try and overwhelm one of your flanks do you think that would have been harder for you to deal with? I only ask because when i have used the dwarf strollaz list i havnt had to start with different deployments (only battleline) and wondered if that might work with this deployment.

unfortunately you got screwed by the dwarf Dwarf BSB cant take master runes and other runes on the same item

O.k. if that what happened in Greenskin turn 3 is true, Warhammer gotten even more stupid then I thought. How can you flee after you already decided to hold the charge from the back? When I still played, once you declare to hold to any charge, you are in combat and can not decide differently later stupid

If I hadn't already stopped playing (believe me as a father - especially of 2 boys - you don't have that much time anymore for these things) - that would have been the last bit to make me quit.

Great battle report though.
