What Scientists Just Discovered At The Grand Canyon TERRIFIES The Whole World

In 1919, the Grand Canyon National Park received 44,173 visitors. Today, five million tourists make their way to the park annually. The first exploration of the Grand Canyon was by a small group of Spanish soldiers led by García López de Cárdenas. The soldiers were part of the army of Francisco Vásquez de Coronado which was seeking the mythical Seven Cities of Gold. The next visit to the area by Europeans was 200 years later. In 1869, General John Wesley Powell, then a major, would lead an expedition to the Grand Canyon that would kickstart a series of scientific expeditions in the following years.
Much has been learned about the canyon and its history, but more discoveries are being made. Some of these discoveries might just change everything we know about the Grand Canyon.

Always have wondered just how much is stored by the Smithsonian, and how much got dumped in the ocean. Way too many incongruous finds over the years.
