It's a southern gray tree frog, I've been in my house for 40yrs and never heard that noise in my life until this summer and I went NUTS trying to find out what kind of critter it was then one night four or five of them took over my aboveground pool and they chirped and chirped for weeks....pretty cool

The call was a gray treefrog (Hyla versicolor). They often hide behind gutter down spouts or under siding. Leave an outside light on at night and you might see one sitting nearby trying to snag some bugs.

Back in my bachelor days I had a 150 gallon tank with a dozen piranhas. 8 red belly and 4 yellow belly. They grew to about 7 inches, give or take. At one point I had 3 breeding pairs. They usually weren't agressive towards people. I'd even clean the tank with my hand in with them. Couldn't do that when they were nesting. They turned black and would bounce against the glass to try and get to you.

When I was feeling lazy I would toss in a frozen chicken breast and they would tear it apart. Feeding live goldfish was messy. Scales went everywhere. Ultimately I ended up getting rid of them since the tank was huge for my small house, it took a lot of maintenance and the tank and fish were all pretty ugly.

*Edit* I remembered the name of the yellow piranhas. They were called caribe. The red bellies I bought from the local pet store when they were about 1". The caribe's I drove about 4 hours to pick them up from a private party. They were about 3" when I got them. None of them were illegal at the time. This would have been around 2000-2003.

I'm dying laughing at the music you're using while painting. Incorporating the bird noise into it is hilarious!🤣

Some folks, like my husband, are super fond of etymology - the origin of words and how they evolved. I love the amount of detail you put into the fins and into the baits themselves, they look amazing.

Make a saltwater fish that will be cool. Recommendations. These are fish I catch where I come from. Snook lure, red fish lure, mangrove snapper lure, sheep’s head lure or like a pin fish lure would be cool
