My Favorite: Ancalagon the Black. A fucking Volcano with Wings. A Dragon so big that it basically took a universal Weapon, able to destroy Galaxies, just to take him down temporarily (Because it is told that Ancalagon will rise again, when morgoth gains enough power)

I have to ask this question publicly because it's serious. Is it bad that I like the Lord of the Rings better than Game of Thrones!?!?!? I mean, I tried getting into the show for a while, but I just couldn't keep up with the first 5 or 6 episodes. It's all so boring with it's monologues and political talking. I wanted to see more Wight Walker and Dragon fights, not sit through arguments about who loves who and who should be king or queen. Sorry if I'm a little harsh, but I'm just speaking my mind.

Ice Drakes are mentioned many times in Tolkien’s work, and are never said to have been manipulated by Morgoth to be what they currently are. It seems more likely to me that, due to their lack of flight and breath-power, that one or more of these creatures were used as the basis of corruption to create Glaurung.
