I can't even image the emotion and nostalgia he experienced on that day. Pilot heroes should have access to these planes, once a year they're allowed to take an hour flight. Imagine experiencing this and then suddenly having the privilege yanked away for life.

The North American Aviation P-51 Mustang is an American long-range, single seat fighter and fighter-bomber used during WWll & the Korean War, among other conflicts. The Mustang was designed in 1940 by a team headed by James Kindelberger of North American Aviation ( NAA ). More than 15, 000 were built.
During WWll, pilots claimed to have destroyed 4, 950 enemy aircraft.
At sea-level, the Mustangs were able to outrun all enemy aircraft encountered.
The Mustang was retired from use after the Korean War…
