He will be back as a pitcher no doubt and he will dominate the league again on his return, he has proven it so far after his 1st surgery, his mentality and dedication to the game speaks for itself. He will pitch in the World Series and become champion as a TWP

Ive watched tons of videos today being sad for ohtani's injury, but this reminded me that he's still the unanimous MVP with the bat alone.... Yeah he's getting a blank check lmao

As an American I don't take him for granted and appreciate what he does for MLB. We are all blessed we are able to see him play. A true legend is Shohei.

Shohei is the greatest baseball player in the world! Doesn't matter whether his present pitching arm injury might cost a devalue of his FA, Shohei is still one of the Greatest hitters in this season and in baseball histories!
Shohei dedicates himself totally to baseball even right after the big blow at his pitching arm. That day after hitting 44th HR and Shohei got injury at 2nd inning of pitching. Shohei knew he got a tear at his arm after 1st game of the double-header but he came back immediately in 2nd game to hit a double and appearred in all 5 AB! Shohei wants to fulfill this season's DH duties because he loves baseball so much and he has a great fighting spirit to show the destiny of a two-way baseball player should be as DH even when his pitching season is forced to be ended cruelly!

Kodai Senga has allowed less then 3 or fewer runs in 11 straight starts, the last time he gave up more then 3 runs was on June 16 against the Cardinals, he also has 78 strikeouts in 64 innings during that span. Kodai has been the best pitcher for the team and one of the bright spots for the Mets this season.

Ohtani has a heart ❤ of a Lion, even though he has a torn UCL and can't pitch he is still wanting to hit, Shohei's passion to play baseball is undeniable, other players would just sit out, but Shohei wants to give the fans the greatest Show on earth, anyone questions his love for the game should watch Shohei Ohtani play.

It is true that Shohei is in a difficult situation as a pitcher.

But we should not be pessimistic about that.

Because even after his injury, Shohei still enjoys playing baseball, and his outstanding personality will keep us glued to our eyes forever.

So it's not the time for us to mourn his injury. In other words, all we can do is hold back our tears in preparation for the moment when the fully resurrected unicorn begins to tell the myth once again.

Shohei has brought so much to the baseball world.
Maybe it’s our chance again to appreciate his achievements and greatness.
What he has done and given us all.

What I learned from him is the feeling that I used to have long time ago, “baseball is so much fun!”

Ohtani made me realize how much fun baseball really is.

So thank you, Ohtani!

As a Japanese, I was happy to finally see Ohtani and Senga face off in MLB for the first time since they were with the Nippon Ham Fighters (Hokkaido) and Softbank Hawks (Fukuoka), respectively.🇯🇵👏
Despite the anxiety of his fans, who were worried about the worst news of Ohtani's right elbow ligament damage, I realized once again what a great player he is as he swings with all his might. Senga also pitched a great game, giving up two runs but making a quality start. I look forward to seeing both of them play well in the remaining games this season.🙌🙌🙌

LMAO your home audience booing you for walking the opponents' batter.

Man even with those UCL he still can hit, I wonder how good Ohtani if he quit pitching and become full time hitter. I mean Babe Ruth only had 18-23 HRs when he was pitching, when he quit pitching his HRs number rose greatly..

Only the Unicorn could suffer a major injury and still impact the game (and the economy) on this level. He's getting paid whether or not he needs another TJ surgery.

I COULDN'T believe the Mets actually WALKED the Injured Pitcher Shohei 3 times😫, including 2 times from Senga, when we are all worrying whether Shohei's hitting would have brought further damage to his arm injury (as we don't have enough information of Shohei's current condition)! Well, I guess Shohei's 115. 4 miles speed double giving the pitchers too much threats 😁 and reminding them that Shohei is still a very strong hitter even when he got a major injury at his pitching arm!
