For auction is a Universal Geneve Tri-Compax 18k Unpolished 35MM Cal. 481 Chronograph Moonphase. This watch reminds me of being a little boy in my dad's clock and watch shop; specifically of one of my dad's good friends who was a pretty big collector. I remember looking at a tri-compax of his with a feeling of reverence for how special it was. Even back in the Bubbleback loving early 90's the Tri-Compax was serious big dog vintage. It was great from the very first tri-compax produced and it most decidedly remains great. This particular one is unpolished and has developed an incredible patina on the dial that matches the color of the case very well. It was just serviced and is running well and ready to go live in a nice watch collection. The tri-compax is a pretty incredible piece; it is stealthy to the max and a deeply sophisticated watch. Date wheels are in French. A very fantastic watch that has to be worn to be fully appreciated.
