Y-Brush toothbrush can clean all your teeth in 10 seconds

preview_player
Показать описание
Nicknamed the 10-second toothbrush, the Y-Brush is all about efficiency. Instead of moving the small head of a regular toothbrush from tooth-to-tooth, the Y-Brush cleans half your mouth at a go 5 seconds at a time.
The Y-Brush doesn't look like a regular toothbrush. Instead, it resembles a small mouth guard for sports. The Y-Brush's tray is lined with nylon bristles positioned at 45-degree angles -- the same angle the ADA recommends holding a "normal" toothbrush against your gums.

You can buy Y-Brush for $125 and it will ship later this spring.

I have been SO EAGER for tech like this. I hate having to brush my teeth manually and have always known that new developments would make it easier and faster. I’m totally cool with the price too, I think it’s well worth it and I’m excited for the price to drop even further over time!

I like the idea, the price is high though, but I am into it. Like someone asked though, how much toothpaste does this thing use?

I guess you’ll also use 10x more toothpaste?

*Sees Y-Brush at CES*
"Oh, that's neat. Brushing is such a pain."
*Sees cost.*
"Oof. I mean, if it works, it would certainly be able to charge such a premium....again, if it worked."
*Does research*
OK, well, so it's just a rip off of another failed brush made by a kick starter, from a company that went under a few months after everyone realized they don't work.

That’s a lot of money for something that looks like cheap plastic

I was one of the suckers that backed Amabrush. It was delayed for over a year, and when it finally came it did not deliver on 5% of its promise. It simply did not clean my teeth.

This is clearly inspired by Amabrush, so people should wait for actual reviews before they back this or anything similar.

Additional information:
$27.99 USD/25 EUR for an additional mouthpiece.
It is recommended to change your mouthpiece every 6 months.

This seems like such a good idea. But would like to see how it performs after a month or so of use.

I got a similar design silicone bristled one, same concept but does upper and lower together in 30 seconds. I only paid £14 and love it. My instructions say to move it from left to right. No one seems to be doing that? I use mine after using my electric one for a short while. Feel really clean after that.

I thought I'd heard that having fluoride from the toothpaste on your teeth for the 2 minutes was a big part of protecting your teeth long term.

I don’t know about this specific company, but I know that a lot of designs like that actually do not brush well

How does it get all the angles? How does it get in the molars 🦷? How does the vibration get plaque off the tooth? Does the bristles spin? 🤔🤔🤔🤔
