Reinstalled OTIS 506 Escalators · Kamaja, South Jakarta

Показать описание
*Date taken:* March 7, 2023
Thanks to the transparent truss cover, we're able to get a more detailed look of these escalators's mechanics, which are mostly still original from the 1980s! Obviously those covers are not original; they should have completely enclosed the mechanics if they were.
*Not exactly sure where this came from, but:*
From NP1C's research, these four come from Golden Truly judging by the warning stickers. However, those turned out to be generic; I've seen the exact same sticker on Yogya Heritage. But the glass truss may still confirm it came from there; while similar escalators were said to be found at Tendean Plaza, I'd say it's very unlikely to come from there as Tendean Plaza was demolished around 2014 or so. Another unlikely case is that these were relocated from Esa Genangku, a department store on Jl. Tebah II (the Mayestik Market "ring"). Looking on Street View, this turned out to be their former wing, only converted into a mini shopping mall around 2021-2022.
Out from the mess above, oddly, while the LG-1 escalators are slightly older than Grand Sahid Jaya's 506 SLs (minus 5-6), the 1-2 escalators are slightly newer (plus 9-10), assuming the S/N is truly serial.
