He only has supersonic sound not super strength so he basically just trusted that first kid with his life even tho it was pretty likely he was gonna catch the car

The only mistakes being made were:
1) Gwen refusing to showcase her power when she frivolously used her power earlier in the movie to make an apple and avoid climbing stairs. Now if the writer wanted Gwen to take the stance that superpowers shouldn't be used frivolously then the writer shouldn't have had Gwen use her superpowers for frivolous reasons earlier in the movie.
2) Not giving the sidekicks a useful education. There is no reason for the sidekicks to not learn about math, science, history, language arts or even be given the option to attend a normal high school instead. The sidekicks would actually be more useful as sidekicks if they could make super hi tech gadgets for their super hero.

This is honestly one of my favorite movies from when I was younger. The music is good, the plot is interesting, and all of the characters are likable. I still watch it pretty frequently. Great movie.

Bruce Campbell as Coach Boomer stole the movie for me. No performance was as good as his in the movie, imo. Even when he's a side character for the rest of the movie, he's still great and hilarious, XD. And even if he's a jerk, he still has an honorable side to him like when he tries to get the people to safety when Royal Pain terrorizes them!
