I'm glad I found this guy. I ran 2 small companies and everything this guy says materialized during my tenure there. I thought I was crazy for my thought. It's reassuring that someone on this scale experienced the same thing.

I have to agree with this. My team and I had zero experience when we started our tech operation, but we still got the funding, and then we had to find the right people, evangelize them, and then we got it up and running and launched in 4 years. I was just a junior in Uni, and the rest were freshmen!!! It's SOOO much fun starting out with nothing more than crazy ideas, finding the right people, and then watching the thing grow.

So, if you're "old" and experienced then the best you can hope for is a future at Wal-Mart as a greeter or perhaps a manager at McDonald's. Did anyone here read "Logan's Run?"

actually, that makes a lot of sense. a lot of older people are too discouraged and scared to start anything. but young people are too ignorant to have fear. the old can be wise but can also be passive. the young can be stupid but can also be aggressive.

Amazing. Guy Kawasaki is 50 but looks like he's in his mid-30's.

You can have your opinion about him, but Minnesota? ..seriously? It might be a good school but you just can't ignore the fact that Stanford, Harvard or MIT are on a completely different level amongst the people who matter(may be you could get the whole IVY league in it).
