What a weird world in the near future. No, I’m not gonna fall in love with an avatar.

I was thinking about the generation of younger folk that want to be offline, live "off-the-grid". The off-grid cabin people, the van-life, boat-life people. But then I realized that most of these folk can't do any of it without posting their lives on YouTube or other social media. They actually aren't disconnected at all. Even when they aren't making videos of themselves, they are on-line marketing, selling "merch" and checking out their likes, viewers, view count and so on. It really makes you wonder if anyone goes "off-the-grid" and doesn't record what they do. Maybe a photograph every now and then is fine, but does everything need to be "shared" to be happy and content?

I think the Meta verse is complete BS, for one who wants to wear that uncomfortable headset for more than an hour before you are uncomfortable, hot and sweaty and so on, until the headsets are no different to a pair of glasses no one is going to wear one all day.

Also your gonna be sat on your ass all day "living your life in the meta verse", so no doubt thats a healthy way of living.

and once again its just not real, we already live in a world of distrust, fake news and corruption, if we live in the meta verse thats all we'll have, overseen by lord god Zuckerberg, no thanks.

VR is a nice idea for gaming and even watching movies and so on, but Zuckerburgs tag line of "we will live our lives in the meta verse" is total BS, jeezus christ.
