I have a new keyboard, and the snip and sketch tool isn't working like it did with my old one. I assume this is the issue as it started when I plugged in my new kbm. Have any way to help resolve this?

Thanks for this. 99% of the "fixes" I found for this problem say open Task Manager and find and close Snipping Tool, but it doesn't even show up in Task Manager.

Restarting Windows Explorer solved the issue in 5 seconds.

mine is different it works for the first time but when i want to continue to use the shortcut snip it, it wont work for the second time

Since I got a new computer with Windows 11 I noticed that the Snipping Tool wasn't working. No matter how many tutorials I tried, nothing worked and I tried them all. What did work was changing the screen resolution. I went from the recommended 1900 X 1080 all the way down to 800 X 600 and it worked!! My monitor automatically selects the highest resolution so the picture I'm snipping isn't affected. Now I just drop the resolution when I am using the Snip Tool and then put the resolution back to maximum after I'm sone using the Snipping Tool. A little cumbersome, but it works.

Of course my recording setup (aka ALL notifications off, hard stop) was the culprit. Now I just toggle it on and off with that Focus Assistant button some it's good to go. Thanks for the pointers

thanks - I had turned off notifications because of a client virtual meeting and this made me realize I had forgotten to turn in back on! WOnder if there is a way to get reminded of that being turned off other than a reminder to myself?

just restarting windows explorer worked wow only took me like 20 seconds to fix had this problem the last few days when I wanted to use it, nice video man.
