In full: Starmer holds press conference at Cop29

Sir Keir Starmer will hold a press conference in Baku later this morning to answer questions about the UK’s climate change plans.

We are expecting the Prime Minister to speak to the media at about 11am, although timings do often slip a little at big international summits like Cop29.

Sir Keir is also due to make a statement to the climate change summit this afternoon when he will talk about the Government’s new emissions target, widely expected to be a pledge to reduce emissions by 81 per cent compared with 1990 levels by 2035.
