New details in the Monterey Park mass shooting that claimed the lives of 11 people on Lunar New Year.

Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna provided an update to the investigation and offered new information about the suspect.

- Police have not been able to establish a connection between the suspect and the victims
- The suspect had not been to the Star Ballroom in 5 years
- Gun used in the shooting was purchased in Monterey Park, CA in 1999 but has been illegal in California since 1992
- Motorcycle registered to the suspect was found near the crime scene and police discovered that the suspect parked it there just hours before the shooting
- Police recovered 3 firearms, the gun used in the attack, another in the suspect's van and a rifle at the suspect's home in Hemet, CA.
- Police also recovered a 30-round magazine and 42 shell casings at the crime scene
- Law enforcement says the suspect did not have military or firearms training
- Police say the suspect is of Vietnamese descent but lived in China for several years

if he going out of the way for get away such as vehicles this level of planing was the start of something i think of grand theft auto video game type stuff
