Ichiro probably best contact hitter of all time. What an artistic swing. And let's not forget how good he was in the oufield either!

Ichiro is even more kind and humble than you’d expect! I’ve been able to meet him a couple times and he even signed a ball for me, which he almost never does

No one like Ichiro. Great ballplayer. Great sense of humor. Speaks English very well.

Ichiro also played with the Miami (Florida) Marlins. We loved him. He was great.

I’ll never forget walking by Ichiro when I was like 6 or 7. I was brought onto the field at Veteran’s stadium to play tug of war against the mascots between innings at a Phillies-Mariners game. I walked by Ichiro bc he was on deck and he patted me on the shoulder when I was walking off the field. Awesome guy.

My brother loved Ichiro growing up!! He still has some posters of him up in his childhood bedroom at home :) it’s nice to hear his name for the first time in a few years and bring up nice childhood memories :)

Among Seattle Mariner fans, this story is legend. Bret Boone taught him this phrase, I believe but Ichiro mixed up the order a bit. It is “2 rats in a sock”

I heard the rats in a wool sock years ago. It is real Bob.

I saw Bob Costas in real life at the Olympic Complex in Jamsil, Seoul in 1988. He was a young, handsome, and promising caster back then, but already retired. Time just flies by so fast.
