This is the difference between value system, UK has value for their personal life but india doesn't. Why will they work extra without any compensation. This is problem with the dirty slave more mindset. Recently one of mentally sick service best it giants says people should work 70 hrs per week. This people think that Employee are slave.

i think jo eicher ne royal enfield ke sath kiya wohi jlr ke sath bhi krna cahiye unka poora r&d aur manufacturing india shift hona cahiye. India has a very big market for premium vehicles which is hiding behind these import duties. public jub 60lkhs me bekar fortuner le rhi he to us price me wo ek mid size jaguar or land rover bhi le skti hai

bhai unka duty over ho gaya toh woh ghar chale gaye. Woh sirf employees hai, company ke slaves nhi. Unko bhi personal time chahiye. Aur weekend mai sabko ghar mai rehna hi pasand hai. Aisa nhi ki sirf top management ko chutti mile aur engineers, mid aur low level employees ko chutti ke time kaam karna pade. Sorry but employee welfare is more important than company meeting deadlines or dealing with crisis. Agar crisis hi hai toh aur logon ko hire karo instead of making same set of employees overwork. Inn ameer logon ke paas paison ki kami nhi hoti kabhi bhi.

main thing is you have employees not gulaam, so why should they work extra time?
it is a bad culture of India & other asian countries so nothing to be proud of.

Do companies pay their employees for going extra mile? If no then why expect them to go extra mile? Also companies remove their employees in split second from the work they were attached so why to go an extra mile for companies?

That's because UK values work life balance so you can't force Someone to work after 6, (as far as I know ) and they are employees not slaves ..

and there's is nothing to be proud of your employees working at overnight they should hire different staff for night shift ...

I don't know the exact context under which Ratan Tata-ji had told about UK staffs not willing to go the extra mile (if it is during random short-time crisis then it is okay) but we need to have a proper work-life balance to ensure personal life is also taken care for a proper mental stability else in the name of multiple short-term crisis everything will collapse!

I have a huge respect for Ratan Tata-ji and at the same time we should remember that both India & UK are at two different extremes and may be they should draw common line in-between those employees 🤷🏽‍♂️
