I married my husband and I had over $30, 000 in debt. I am paying my debt and budgeting to get rid of this mess I created. Currently I owe $15, 000 in debt. By the summer of next year I will be debt free. I take responsibility for my debt and have never asked him to help pay for it. We got married at a court house and it was lovely. Weddings equal more debt.
