Ideal Freediving with Tiger Sharks Encounter | Fuvahmulah Maldives

In May 2023 a couple of Adelaide Freedive Tribe members booked on to the inaugural "Freediving with Tiger Sharks" trip, run by the Pressure Project and Jono Allen Photography.
This video shows an ideal freediving encounter with a tiger shark. Prior to this we'd been given comprehensive safety briefings and undertaken a workshop in shark behaviour. This encounter happened on my 4th freediving session with the Tiger Sharks.

Warning: We do not condone freediving with tiger sharks unless accompanied by qualified guides. Tiger sharks are apex predators and under ordinary circumstances, freedivers should seek to avoid being near tiger sharks.
