1. Pay attention to the light and the shadows. Making sure you know where the light is coming from is essential to editing great photos! Once you understand where the light is coming from, you can accentuate the light and darken shadows to provide more focus on the subject of the photo.

2. Use masking! Masking is key when it comes to editing beautiful photos. Sometimes, certain areas in a photo need to be brightened or darkened. You can use masks to your advantage in this case!

3. Don't over-edit! I used to think putting contrast, clarity, texture, dehaze and all those fun settings in Lightroom to max looked the best 😂But now, I've realized that you don't need to put so much extra spice into the photo to have a nicely edited photo! I have a simple preset I use to give me a base to work off but they don't sway too far off the original.

Save this for reference when you need to edit your photos!
