Oh wow Finntroll, that’s cool!
Yeah, the band is from Finland but all their songs are in Swedish. And because they sing in Swedish i can understand them which is one of the reasons i like this band. The other reason is that their style of music, known as folk-metal, is one of my favourite generas. The title of this song translates from Swedish as ”Snake-People”. Orm means snake and Folk means people. The song is from their latest album ”Vredesvävd” which came out in december, last year.
”Under bergets rot” (under the root of the mountain), ”Vargtimmen” (the Wolf-hour) and ”Trollhammaren” (the Troll-hammer) are some other great songs by them. I also like the songs ”En mäktig här” (a mighty hoard), ”Rivfader” (roughly translated as Tear-Father) and ”Midnattens Widunder” (the beast/monster of the midnight) by them. The previously mentioned song Vargtimmen is not one of their own song, but a cover of a song that the Swedish folk-band Hedningarna made.
