Lol as a kid, my friends and I would find these all over the field outside the school. We called them stink bombs even though they don't have a smell. We would chase eachother while squishing them to try to get the "stink" on eachother. I guess us doing that helped spread more spores around the field!

I remember finding those as a kid, it puffed on me because my brother poked it with a stick. I was scared shitless because I thought mushrooms would grow on me. Safe to say I showered for like an hour to attempt to get them off me

These would grow to the size of a baseball around my house when I was a kid, I would always look forward to finding these so that I could squish them

"So technically these are stage 2 of the infection?"

"Yes and a gas mask is 100% required."

Growing up we were taught by our grandparents that those were called devil's snuff. Now I know that was just a nickname but that's what we always called them

These were in the forest near where I lived and when I was young me and my friends called fart shrooms. And would procede to stomp them.

I used to search for these in the forest with my mom when I was younger. Sadly they seem to have died out in the area for some reason.

Those are so nostalgic! I remember finding those when we went hiking. We would even fight for it who can step on them first. And no they won't be the cause of the next Last of us.

In polish fungi (grzyby 🍄) like dat are called "puchawka" from (dmuchać) "blower"(blow){fem} or "puRchawka" which sounds like "farter"{fem.} - prt, prut 😂🎉😊❤
