Smoke could be seen across the Winnipeg skyline on Wednesday as fire crews worked to extinguish a large blaze at Portage Avenue and Langside Street in temperatures that fell below - 30 C with the wind chill. Morgan Modjeski reports.

Wouldn't rule out squatters if the second floor was unoccupied. I live on Sherbrook & Sargent and hear sirens all day & night, the building across the street has firetrucks, police and ambulances parked out front a couple times a week. It's bloody crazy in this part of town.

Burn it all down was the message last summer... This winter it's f u I want my freedom donut brain governments. This summer I expect somewhat less patience for the true fringe and their violent unacceptable views and bonfires.
