I think it's important to have this perspective because he isn't the only gay black man in America with daddy issues. Him being on camera or in front of a crowd talking about it is just his form of processing, a lot of info but it was interesting to watch and maybe it will get other people talking with their families.

I cannot imagine not accepting my children for who they were born to be. As a human being, I admire him for bearing his soul for everyone to see. His honesty and candidness is admirable
