For firefox it doesn't have touch enabled by default, you have to launch it with a command line option, which I learned by using a touchscreen laptop lol

KDE Plasma runs great under PostMarketOS, which also runs great on your OnePlus 6. It's Alpine Linux on old android devices.

For tablets just Gnome is functional and comfortable in the original version. KDE it's my favourite workstation but not for my tablet. Thanks for the good presentation.

FYI, you can customize KDE to your liking, e.g., modify VLC's behavior. For instance, you can force kwin to display window titles and borders like on a desktop. On a separate note, I've found that Manjaro ARM isn't ideal for mobile or tablet use as it relies on desktop apps. Is there KDE neon equivalent distro with mobile UI? Or is it actually somewhere embedded in KDE already? Might be interesting choice for my old Surface Pro that I've lost type cover.

Interesting product, I love seeing this kind of hardware! I haven't seen an Intel CPU in a tablet or phone since my Galaxy S3! The fact that it is a quad core Celeron and is seemingly based on CISC vs RISC I wonder about the longevity of such a product but hey, it's a tablet and it is running decently fast right now. Being limited to 2 memory channels and no multi-threading kinda limits things IMO. I won't dig on that price point though since I am well aware this has to be a somewhat limited capacity run of hardware. Still want it.

How is libreoffice running? One of the things I don't like about tablets is that office apps always have fewer features than the PC version. If this tablet is capable of running libreoffice the same as on PC, I buy it immediately. I have looked for reviews of this tablet, but I have not seen any lab running libreoffice or another office app like WPS office

Lomiri would looks great on this tablet but there's most likely no Ubuntu Touch port for this device yet. And not sure if there's already other working distro that has it aside from Manjaro on the OG pinephone

Actually, KDE is perfect for tablets, especially the bugs out (drag freeze) and don't let you use the screen until you plug a keyboard and press ESC

I can't tell if it's my phone, but the camera seems to make the tablet screen look like crap. The camera could be just focused wrong or a bad angle of lighting. However, I'm guessing that is a terrible screen?
