Isn't it fantastic to be alive in an age where people are capable of making detailed and accurate 3D representations of actual events? It's such a vastly superior way of understanding what actually happened instead of reading or hearing about it or seeing photos and videos of the aftermath. Even better than live video.

Does Norway not know embarresment the accident is bad enough but then blame the shipbuilder for the stupidity of the crew is just amazing. I couldnt have come up with better bs

It was so easy to avoid the collision!! Considering the course of both ships, the Norwegian frigate just had to fall to starboard. I really can't understand how the Norwegian captain made such an absurd mistake.
I only can think of a possible explanation for this accident: the Norwegian captain was drunk.

Under the ColRegs, the Frigate was the give way vessel and should have turned away to starboard, so that the two vessels passed each other, port side to port side. The tanker was probably restricted in its ability to manoeuvre in any case, given its size and tonnage. This would be another reason for the Frigate to give way. If this presentation is accurate, then the Frigate’s crew were at fault.

And thus, 20%of Norway’s frigates went underwater without a shot being fired...
(Sh.t happens, a few months back it was France losing one of its 6 attack subs to a fire, before that a US helicopter carrier and some other ships in China, Turkey, Iran, Russia...).

Norway should buy a new frigate from Navantia, after falsely accusing her. Norway did a lot of damage to the Spanish company blamed constructive quality. Nothing is enough hard to colide with a giant oil tanker in his side and dont sunk. This weigh and cinetic energy is colosal.

I'm friends with someone who was on board when this happened. He had to swim out of the hole in the side of the ship as it filled the mess with water, and the hole was so big. They didn't have time to do any DC. Luckily the captain was quick thinking and ordered the ship to ground. No one was killed. Its so crazy to think of, can't imagine what he went through.

Actually, I don't think the frigate had any navigation lights on (they were running dark).
