I live in Siberia. The city of Krasnoyarsk. And yes, we travel a lot on foot and by public transport. Even when it's -40C. It's very convenient. We have bus stops everywhere. The closest one to my house is only 300m away. And the transport is very clean, safe and cheap. We have almost no homeless people. I haven't seen them for over 15 years.

Ironically, most of what Americans consider Mexican food isn't trully Mexican.
It is mostly TexMex, which is Texan, but with Mexican influence (in the border + used to be part of Mexico)
2 things that come off the top of my head are Chimichangas and Hard shell tacos

To help her adapt, get her accustomed to non-stop lies...throughout the culture at every level.

It’s freaking humiliating to see our own people suffering while we give money hand over fist to Ukraine and other countries

NOPE. Wearing shoes inside is not the norm in the US. Most households, especially north of the Potomac, take them off.

But America is a mixture of cultures. So is it appropriating the culture or are we all a bunch of different people living in a country where everything can be different? It is different parts of different cultures.
