Benchmark RTX 4060 vs RX 7600 8GB in 8 GAMES 1440p / Ray Tracing / FSR vs DLSS 2 / 3. I tested popular games from 2023 on an AMD Radeon RX 7600 8GB GPU side by side new NVIDIA flagship GeForce RTX 4060 8GB. It's a known fact that the Radeon RX 7600 is not designed for Ray Tracing. It performs poorly in those tasks. If we look at the tests in the native render RX 7600 vs RTX 4060 the AMD GPU doesn't do badly at all and is worth considering. Both cards are designed for 1080p resolution, in 1440p and 4K in many cases there is a lack of VRAM and both RX 7600 and RTX 4060 suffer from its shortage. You can identify the lack of VRAM on my test on the DRAM Read/Write value. If there is an increase in transfers it indicates a VRAM shortage, regardless of physical VRAM occupancy. Both RX 7600 vs RTX 4060 cards can handle 1440p but it will require a reduction in detail from Ultra to Medium-High.

I think the fact that some game creators clearly only optimise for either one or the other is so out of order in this day and age. Takes the piss when you pay a lot of money for either an AMD or NVIDEA card and certain games won’t optimise for your card you’ve spent your hard earned cash on.

There is actually no difference between those cards, what changes is when a game is optimized for AMD or Nvidia.

Here the rtx 4060 is so much more expensive, the best for me is rx 7600

also, poor choice from both amd and nvidia to equip those gpus with 8GBs of vram. I have the rx 7600 and it already starts to show the poor performance causes due to the games allocating way more than 8GBs. You know, we're so lucky we got past the point where gpus would just crash if they went past the max memory. Now, all modern games have a vram limiter set to 90% of your vram, so this doesn't happen anymore.

poor performance from both of the cards due to the narrow bus size. 128 is not enough for 1440p. you need 256 for 1440p. the RX 5700 is shockingly close to these gpus due to its massive 256 bus size. the rx 5700 is supposed to be 30% slower, but at 1440p, it is 15% slower due to the reasons I've stated above. Which makes perfect sense because the bus size is doubled

They're both 1080p cards they aren't getting the best performance out of 1440p the cards will probably get close to the same fps in 1080p
